ScienceUs is a branch of WTEC (World Technology Evaluation Center, Inc). Since 1989, WTEC has assessed over 60
technologies around the world. To obtain more information about

Due to the emergence of Asia as a technology superpower, we have lost high-paying manufacturing jobs and are creating
fewer science and engineering (S&E) opportunities for young Americans. All of this is occurring when science and
engineering continue to offer the best defense against the threat of terrorism. Our goal is to help our country achieve and
maintain world leadership in science and engineering.

Note that large
organizations like the American Association for the Advancement of Science are not charged with promoting
American science, but rather worldwide science. ScienceUS has stepped forward to fill the need.

Other nations have publicly expressed their intentions to wrest away U.S. leadership in S&E. These intentions are presented
in strategic plans that affirm the national importance of S&E, set ambitious goals, provide the resources to meet those goals,
and monitor performance. The U.S. has no such plan.

ScienceUS informs the public about the importance of American leadership in science and engineering. It drafts strategic
plans for achieving and maintaining world leadership. As an IRS 501 (c) (3) organization, ScienceUS does not lobby the
government but provides information so that its membership can effectively do so.
